The Art Center functions as an amplifier for today and tomorrow’s creative voices, providing the space to cultivate and create new work and connections. Every year, The Art Center unveils 20 exhibitions, offers 200+ studio classes, hosts artists from around the world, welcomes 45,000 visitors, and holds 200+ free events. Hyde Park Art Center is one of the few places in the region with the space, flexibility, audience, and reputation to support Chicago artists by catalyzing ambitious new exhibition projects. Situated within the community of the Hyde Park Art Center, the Jackman Goldwasser Residency provides a platform for international, national, and local practitioners each year to take creative risks within their practice and expand their professional networks while living and working in Chicago.
